I volunteered as a Medical Assistant taking patient histories, obtaining vital signs, administering flu shots, obtaining twelve lead ECGs and providing patient support.

I spent four years as a Den Leader to school-aged boys, providing diverse opportunities for discovery and growth.

• Coyote Nursing Students of the Desert

I regularly work to support the Coachella Valley and the university at a variety of events including set-up or breakdown at the Relay for Life, Desi-Strong Walk, and the Autism Walk. I have volunteered to triage patients at California Care Force and Flying Doctors events in the Coachella Valley. Recently, I organized three campus blood drives. I have served the Coyote Nursing Students as the Faculty Representative and the President of the organization. In total I have completed over 200 hours of volunteer service with this organization.

Working with Dr. Younglee Kim to conducting research on “INCIVILITY EXPERIENCED BY NURSING STUDENTS IN CLINICAL SETTINGS.” Duties include reviewing current research, collating data, and assisting in authoring research report.
